In celebration of the 2 year anniversary of our show, we recorded a special live-to-tape episode of EARS HAVE EYES with a live studio audience! Listeners brought pillows and a blanket, and sprawled on the floor for a dreamy Listening Party at the historic Eau Claire & Bow River Lumber Company. Sound artists, experimental musicians, and auditory explorers spun a tapestry of sonic experiments for the enjoyment of our ears & inner eyes.

EARS HAVE EYES is a sound art radio program airing monthly on CJSW 90.9 FM, Golden Co-op Radio, and (as of mid-2024) New Adventures in Sound Art. Every month, sound artists respond to a specific theme, sharing experimental music, spoken word, noise, and other sound-based media on the airwaves.
For this live event, artists responded to the following themes:
RED HOT: smoldering, burning, boiling over (aired Feb 14)
NEW GREEN: shifting, sprouting, shy & splendorous (aired March 13)
Artists performed “in the round” surrounding the audience, who were sitting on the floor in the centre of the room. This approach was intended to break the binary between artist and audience, integrating the listener into an immersive, spatial environment.
